Role: Senior User Interface Developer (Angular/React/Next.js)

Location: 4 Days onsite in Boston, MA (Must currently reside in Massachusetts)

Role Overview

This role is responsible for designing and delivering modern, high-performance user interfaces within a complex, production-grade web platform. The position blends hands-on development with architectural ownership and technical leadership across frontend and full-stack initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve scalable web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, including Angular- and React-based ecosystems, with experience delivering applications using server-side and static rendering approaches.
• Implement and maintain server-side services and APIs to support frontend functionality and data access within a full-stack environment.
• Provide technical direction on UI architecture, component strategy, styling approaches, and build tooling to ensure maintainability and performance.
• Establish and improve automated build, test, and deployment workflows, supporting reliable releases to cloud-based environments.
• Serve as a technical mentor, guiding engineers on state management, accessibility standards, performance optimization, and testing strategies.
• Partner with product management, UX/design, and backend engineering to translate requirements into intuitive, user-centered experiences.
• Assess emerging tools and frameworks and recommend improvements aligned with long-term platform goals.

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience building production applications with modern frontend frameworks and supporting server-side technologies.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a solid foundation in web standards, responsive design, and modern CSS practices.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST-based and/or query-driven APIs.
• Exposure to cloud-based deployment models and automated delivery pipelines across major cloud platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to lead frontend or full-stack initiatives and support the growth of other engineers.
