About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director, who will also serve as a Senior Vice President for the national organization. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, visionary change agent with a strong commitment to educational equity and a belief in the potential of all students. This role is pivotal in leading and managing a team to ensure operational success, growth, and the achievement of impact, revenue, and external relations goals. The Executive Director will be responsible for people and culture, AmeriCorps member experience, student impact, private sector fundraising, school/district investments, financial management, board member engagement, government relations, and public policy. They must be adept at building and forging partnerships, mobilizing stakeholders, and representing the organization's mission powerfully. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a proven track record in the behaviors and qualifications outlined. This includes the ability to influence and motivate stakeholders, a strong background in fundraising, and a deep understanding of K-12 education, youth development, or community and national service. The role requires a leader who can connect with and inspire diverse teams, manage a significant budget, and engage with local and national elected officials. The ideal candidate will have a significant local network, preferably with knowledge of the Dallas educational landscape, and experience in non-profit, volunteer, or multi-sector environments. The Executive Director will be expected to lead with tenacity and humility, embody the organization's core values, and ensure a transformational experience for all AmeriCorps members.
