Job Description

This opportunity seeks skilled Sign Language Interpreters to support elementary students in a school setting within Harrison County, MS. The position involves working one-on-one with general education students across 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades during the 2025-2026 school year.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing clear and effective American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation to facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers
• Supporting inclusion and accessibility in the classroom environment
• Collaborating closely with educators and staff to ensure student success
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter through RID, a minimum EIPA score of 3.0+, or a current MS QA license
• Experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in person, maintaining a 35-hour workweek

Location: Onsite at an elementary school in Ocean Springs, MS (Harrison County)
