Job Description
Responsible for correct chemistry balance of pool/spa. Assures pool is clean, clear and in proper working order with detail to all equipment including pump(s), filter, salt cell systems, chlorinator, timers/freeze protection, and plumbing with valves. Knowledgeable of correct equipment function and able to diagnose any problems. Assesses problems, troubleshoots and reports repairs needed to the Branch Manager right away. The Lead Technician must lead by example, is not exempt from using all pool maintenance equipment, and must work hand-in-hand with the Assistant Technician.
Physical Requirements:
- Extensive standing without breaks
- Exposure to heat and cold
- Reaching heights of approximately six feet and depths of approximately three feet
- Must have a high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided for periods of up to eight hours or longer as needed
- Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy pressure/stress during busy times; bending, reaching and walking
- Effective communication with customers
- Carrying buckets of chemicals weighing approximately 20 pounds for distances of up to 60 feet
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Excellent communication, supervisory, and customer service skills
- Computer literacy; comfortable with mobile application use
- Must have a valid driver's license and insurance
Experience Requirements:
- Some pool service experience preferred
- Certified Pool Operator license preferred
