Tax Manager Tax Manager
Position Overview The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the tax strategy and compliance of the organization. This role involves managing tax planning, ensuring adherence to IRS regulations, and leading tax audits to minimize risk and enhance financial reporting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and filing requirements for both corporate and individual taxes.
- Manage and coordinate tax audits, providing necessary documentation and responses to inquiries.
- Conduct thorough tax research to stay updated on tax laws and regulations that impact the organization.
- Prepare and review tax returns and related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure alignment with overall financial reporting standards.
- Provide guidance on strategic tax planning, estate planning, and risk management to maximize tax efficiency.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of IRS regulations and tax compliance.
- Strong understanding of corporate and individual tax issues and planning strategies.
- Experience with tax software and tools for efficient tax preparation and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and research skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex tax concepts.
