\n Assignment Length: 18 weeks (with possibility of extension)

Certification & License Requirements:

• Current State Respiratory Therapist License \n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification \n
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (preferred)\n
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification (preferred)\n

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor respiratory status of pediatric patients.\n
• Administer airway management and ventilator support according to physician orders.\n
• Perform diagnostic tests including blood gases and pulmonary function tests.\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.\n
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and equipment.\n
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient progress.\n
• Ensure all procedures adhere to hospital policies and safety standards.\n

What You Bring:

\n
• Valid and current State Respiratory Therapist license.\n
• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric respiratory care experience preferred.\n
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to respond swiftly to emergencies.\n
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate attitude.\n
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-pressure situations.\n
• Team player with a proactive approach to patient care.\n

Preferred Education & Experience:

\n
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.\n
• Prior experience in a pediatric ICU or similar setting is highly desirable.\n
• Familiarity with pediatric ventilators and monitoring equipment.\n
