We operate the Overflow Paratransit service to serve eligible disabled passengers in the Toledo region and we are looking to find amazing new drivers to join this service!
\n\nWhat is Overflow Paratransit?
\n\nParatransit provides eligible riders with disabilities access to public transportation services that complement the fixed-route bus system. The Paratransit service operates from approximately 5AM to 10:30PM on weekdays and 6:30AM to 9PM on weekends.
\n\nRiders with disabilities gain the freedom of the city and its surroundings through paratransit service. Paratransit is a shared-ride service that offers origin-to-destination transportation, ensuring passengers can access essential services and stay connected to their communities. As a Paratransit Driver, you will assist riders in boarding and exiting vehicles, and in certain situations, such as when a rider’s disability or adverse weather conditions make it difficult for them to negotiate the distance between the curb and their destination, you will assist them in traveling that distance. Empathy is essential in this role, as understanding and responding to each passenger's unique needs ensures that you provide safe, respectful, and reliable service. Your ability to connect with riders on a personal level will directly impact their well-being and quality of life.

\n\tTo be eligible to operate on the Via Platform in Toledo, you must:
\n\nHave a valid driver’s license from Ohio
\n\tAre 25 years of age or older
\n\tHave more than one year of driving history
\n\tPass background check
\n\tPass drug test
\n\tProficient in English
\n\t*New driver partner promotion: To be eligible, you must complete at least 30 hours of driving on the Via platform within 30 days of completing your driver onboarding. Time offline, including breaks, will not be included in this 30-hour minimum. This promotion may be revoked or altered at any time at Via's sole discretion, and these terms are subject to change at Via's sole discretion.
