How often are flash fiction contests run?

I was curious because I’m not sure about which story to submit and was wondering if this was one-time thing.

Generally they’re run twice a year.  If I’m not mistaken, PseudoPod’s contest is up next.  I think there’s a schedule somewhere—if I find it, I’ll post a link.

Twice a year for Escape Artists, rotating between the four podcasts. So every two years for a given genre.
