If you look at most of our known female posters, you'll see the leave gender blank and therefore don't count in the stats.

Also, we've had a massive increase in bot membership.  The ones that post a single spam and strangely ones that post nothing.  They're almost exclusively "male".

I'd've thought the bots would be programmed to sign up as female.  I say that because, at least to me, a lot of the spam I see on the 'net seems targeted towards males, or is stuff that a female would more likely take advice from another female on.

We were around 10:1 before the recent population increase.  I just hope there aren't any Screamers.

To whomever is an admin, change the registration to have a minimum age requirement (even if it's 1 year old), and change the CAPTCHA to be high (if it isn't already) and your bot registration should drop off significantly, if not entirely.  The bots don't know how to deal with age requirements.  I just went through that with the forum I run, same SMF software, and I went from having 5-10 bot registrations daily to none in the last 2 months.

MWahahahaaa! The power of being part of the female minority! Mwahaaahaha! Errhum.. *cough cough* carry on.

Oh, great and mighty Alasdair, Orator Maleficent, He of the Silvered Tongue, guide this humble fangirl past jumping up and down and squeeing upon hearing the greatness of Thy voice.
Oh mighty Mur the Magnificent. I am not worthy.
