I can't seem to get my login to stick. I click the "forever" radio button but it doesn't hold my information. I've tried all three of the login areas on the main forum page (LOL...) and none of them work.

Any ideas?

if i understand you: you can login normally but every time that you close the browser and come back you're logged out again.

if this is right then you probably have the browser set to accept only session cookies from escapeartists.net. the way to check & correct this will depend on your browser.

I'd like to hear my options, so I could weigh them, what do you say?
Five pounds?  Six pounds? Seven pounds?

I've got a similar thing happening.  If I close the browser tab and come back, I seem to be logged out although my login name and password are already in the boxes.  And I don't even have to click the "login" button; if I click into any forum or thread I'm logged in automatically from there.

Weird shit, homey.

You guys have deleted your cookies and such?

I Twitter. I also occasionally blog on the Escape Pod blog, which if you're here you shouldn't have much trouble finding.

Not purposely or consciously.  And if I had, I really doubt I'd get the sort of thing I describe above.  Obviously it's keeping my info; it's just not having me automatically log in when I first arrive at the site.

That's usually your browser's auto-fill feature, not the cookies. Malformed or corrupted cookies could prevent the forums from being able to authenticate your credentials.

But again, I can ignore the "login" button and just click into any forum ... and suddenly I'm logged in.  That's more than just auto-fill at work.

Oh, ok, I took that to mean you were hitting login. I'd still kill the cookies and login again to try to clear it up.

Not really. Sometimes on Tuesdays, but that's pretty much the only day I do.
