Job Description

Law firm located in Houston. We are seeking a minimum 10 year attorney conversant in complex business litigation involving disputes between high net worth entity owners, mid to large companies with established lines of business and all of the attendant legal issues, breach of contract, trademark and copyright prosecution and defense, securities fraud, oil and gas disputes between owners and operators, class action prosecution and defense, some MDL work and other business litigation.

*Job Type:* Full-time, in office position.

*Salary:* $135,000.00 or more depending on level of experience..

*Hours:* Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

*Sign On Bonus*: $5,000.

*PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

Contribute to the profitability of the firm in managing cases and increasing billables.

Work with high net worth individuals and manage their expectations and legal issues.

Need a self -starter that can manage a litigation docket and assist supervising other lawyers and paralegals

* Research and complete various complex legal issues and assignments.
* Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, trial related documents, etc.
* Assist in trial preparation and case strategy.
* Attend and participate in trials, hearings, depositions, mediations, and/or arbitrations.

·*Compensation Also Includes*

· Several Bonuses (1) based on discretion at end of the year and (2) another bonus based upon billing and other tangible criteria.

· Origination fees.

· Compensation for State Bar dues and CLE courses.
