The Controller is responsible for directing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and the development of internal controls and procedures.
Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to see the big picture while managing processes and procedures to achieve results.
Advanced computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and query tools.
Applies advanced accounting techniques to evaluate and improve financial procedures, recommending methods to reduce time and cost.
Keeps current with industry trends and developments by reading professional literature and attending conferences and seminars.
Maintains consistent, regular, and punctual attendance.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
Solid knowledge of accounting principles and statistics to prepare monthly financial statements and reconcile accounts.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
Familiarity with financial systems and software to ensure high data integrity for all financial and statistical information.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or Master’s degree preferred
5–7 years of related work experience, including at least 3 years in a hospital setting.
