BH Doors and Hardware is a nationwide door and hardware distributor focusing on Muilty Family Projects. We are based out of Liberty, New York
We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator with a specialized background in doors and hardware . The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Division 8 specifications, architectural drawings, and construction documents, and be able to produce accurate and competitive estimates for commercial door and hardware packages.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents
Prepare accurate estimates and takeoffs for doors, frames, and hardware
Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and suppliers to obtain pricing and clarify scope
Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize costs
Ensure all bids are submitted on time and in accordance with client requirements
Maintain organized documentation and historical pricing data
Communicate clearly with internal teams and external clients throughout the bidding process
Qualifications:
Estimating experience in the doors and hardware industry
Strong knowledge of Division 8 materials, terminology, and installation requirements
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural plans and specifications
Experience using estimating software (e.g., Comsense, Avaware, GDS, or similar)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
Preferred:
Prior experience with commercial, multi-family, or institutional projects
Familiarity with industry codes and standards
