Fund Accountant — Confidential Hedge Fund (Greenwich, CT)
About the Firm
A multi-strategy investment manager with over $5B AUM seeks a Fund Accountant to join its core finance team supporting hedge fund and structured credit products. The environment is performance-driven, collaborative, and fast-paced, with exposure to front-office and operations leadership.
Responsibilities
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly NAVs across multiple fund structures.
Reconcile cash, positions, and P&L between the administrator, prime brokers, and internal records.
Support month-end close and valuation review processes for complex fixed income and derivatives portfolios.
Assist with investor allocations, management and incentive fee calculations, and capital activity.
Work closely with fund controllers, operations, and risk to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting.
Coordinate with external auditors and administrators during annual audits.
Enhance accounting processes through automation and system optimization (Geneva, Investran, or similar).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Accounting, is mandatory; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
2–5 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably within hedge funds, private equity, or BIG 4 public accounting (financial services focus).
Strong Excel and data analysis skills; experience with portfolio accounting systems advantageous.
Understanding of GAAP, fund structures, and valuation methodologies.
Detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of handling high-volume, time-sensitive deliverables.
Location
Greenwich, Connecticut. In-office role preferred; local candidates prioritized.
