Bravo, Steve. Best wishes and thank you.

Ironically, all this "They do it for free" stuff has gotten me to become a contributing supporter.  $5/month is nothing compared to the entertainment I get in return.

Why did I wait so long?(Been listening since October 2009)  I didn't want to give it to that nogoodnick Steve, and had to wait until he was gone!  *Shakesfist*   I'm of course being facetious, I don't know why it took me so long.

My admittedly negative comments earlier in the "Here's the deal" thread were not pointed at Steve directly, but at the general "no one is getting notified" situation that was happening.  That was rectified, notices were put up, power has shifted hands, and we're off to the races.

I certainly hope that Steve will be back in the future to at least narrate some stories, he's one of the best.

I don't know about anybody else, but I was kind of hoping that since Mur is now on as editor and producer of the podcast, that Steve will in turn take Mur's place in writing the traditional Christmas stories.

Facehuggers don't have heads!

Come with me and Journey Into... another fun podcast

That could totally rock!

This, sir, is a stellar idea!

Hmmmmmmmmm. That is an interesting idea. I'll mull on it. Thanks.

(Some of it may depend on whether I can quell my inner smartass who, having been challenged to write a Christmas story, now wants to pervert such a reasonable request and write an Arbor Day story or a National Dental Hygiene Month story instead.)

Maybe pull a Nightmare Before Christmas and have the emblems of Arbor Day or National Dental Hygiene Month take over the holiday on behalf of Santa?  Mister Tooth Decay versus Rudolph?

It's too late for this year I know, but how about a 4/20 story?

Nope.  And you ran that one too early; it was in January IIRC.

Short stories are inspiring.
Escape Pod has and will give those stories a voice.
Thank's Steve.

You're starting to remind me of people I've met at the Yippie cafe.

I Twitter. I also occasionally blog on the Escape Pod blog, which if you're here you shouldn't have much trouble finding.

Listen to it a few more times. Your sense of time will bother you less.

I'm sorry to see you leave, Steve, but burn-out happens no matter how much we love what we're doing.  The little one looks quite healthy, and family should be your main focus.  Huge hugs!

Steve, why don't you go into acting, at least voice acting? At least as a second job when you are not programming? You see all the success you have garnered in that field. Maybe you could get paid for it.

Personally if I could buy syfy I'd hire you to produce a series. But since I'm not rich...

While you're at it, could you change the name back to scifi?  Every time I see "syfy" I die a little.

Ditto that. I get just a little chest pain, or maybe indigestion?

I spell it "SyPhi" and pronounce it "siffy".  And yes, I would like to go back to pronouncing it "skiffy".

What do they claim to specialize in now, anyway?  Syence Fyction?
