Job Title: Contract Hybrid Engineering/IT Recruiter

Location: Hybrid (Remote + Onsite as needed)

Job Type: Contract (3–6 months, with possible extension)

Reports To: Talent Acquisition Manager / HR Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Engineering/IT Recruiter to join our team on a hybrid basis. This individual will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring top-tier talent across a range of engineering and IT roles. The ideal candidate is well-versed in full-cycle recruiting, understands technical job functions, and can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with hiring managers and department leads to understand role requirements and team goals
  • Source candidates using various platforms (LinkedIn, job boards, internal databases, referrals)
  • Conduct initial phone screens and evaluate candidate qualifications for technical fit and culture alignment
  • Manage and guide candidates through the full recruitment process from initial contact to offer acceptance
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with internal teams and candidates
  • Develop talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
  • Ensure an excellent candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
  • Maintain accurate records in applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Track and report recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, etc.)

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience recruiting for engineering and/or IT roles
  • Experience working in a contract or agency environment preferred
  • Solid understanding of technical roles such as software engineers, DevOps, systems/network engineers, data analysts, etc.
  • Proficiency with recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and applicant tracking systems (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Workday)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Prior experience recruiting for high-growth tech or engineering companies
  • Familiarity with hybrid and remote workforce dynamics
  • Knowledge of employment laws and best hiring practices

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 3 to 6 months, with potential for extension
  • Location: Hybrid (remote with occasional onsite visits)
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
